I got my first request for information about the retirement community I am planning to build in Honduras off the website. With no marketing whatsoever there is a desire by some to retire down there. I sent the lady a message explaining that the community would be ready for residency sometime in 2009 and that I would send her some contacts in the mean time if she needed to move sooner.
I rekindled my relationship with Bob Mize while in Lubbock and he gave me some information on raising funds to get the project off the ground. He is currently raising funds on behalf of the Texas Children’s Ranch there in Lubbock. He writes letters to foundations requesting money and the checks roll in.
It was an encouragement to talk to Bob and validate the calling I received. My hand is starting to scratch like money is headed this way.

RYC: Hi Sweetie! Was wonderful to see your smiling face again. I have learned that it is better for me to step away from a situation that I cannot change. I used to try to wait them out, but then discovered that I get seriously ill from holding it all in. I’m not sure the HD will cycle back to the original concept. The original owners sold the company and moved on. Unitl the last year, Menard’s had a contract with Lowwes keeping them out of the midwest area here. They did not renew that and Lowes has moved in. They are what the HD used to be. With a 38% saturation base of market share already, bad customer service, and understaffed stores, add in somebody new, who offers more prodcut choice? Bingo! I foresee meltdown. HD was phasing out vendors left and right and beginning to specialize in mostly GE products. Hmmmm….wonder why? Not! Two CEOs who previously worked for GE is a large clue. I’d go apply at the new Lowes store except it’s an even longer drive with an untrustworthy vehicle.
Hey! That’s wonderful news!!!! Your first applicant! Whoo-hoo!
HUGS!!!!
