The time has come. Here we come. The Honduras project has come of age. Movement is inevitable.
Please pray for my nephew Trey. He is in MD Anderson Hospital with an issue with his diabetes.
Olanchito now has an official website. It is only in Spanish. http://www.ciudadcivica.com/html/index.php
The town is primed for the retirement community. If you look at the website and translate the Spanish with a web translator, you will see that they are primed and ready for the Gringo Retirement community. There is nothing else there that can make the difference like this can.
All of us that watched the Peace Corps advertisements back in the ’60s will hear the calling to take our Social Security retirement payments to the resort we are building there and make a difference in this country. The people there are AWESOME. Our dollars will make a difference in the generations to come.
This is a place that we can live comfortably on our Social Security. Let it begin.

Onward Ho!
Stuff is getting better, stuff is getting better every day. Famous words spoken by “The Postman” that apply to my life most every day. The merger of our company with our largest competitor is going as expected. There is still a substantial amount of political BS that is prevalent but it cannot live in the light of day. More daylight is coming through each and every day. It is only a matter of time before those with private agendas are revealed and eliminated.
On the Honduran front, I am still waiting and praying. I am certain that it is only a matter of months until the money for this project drops in my lap. The first phase of the project will include the purchase of the land and development of the infastructure with 60 homes. This will cost only $3.5M and will get me started making a difference for those that are facing retirement with limited funds. I so look forward to spending all of my time on this project!
On the church front, we have been meeting in the High School for 4 weeks now and every we have increased in numbers since the move. The excitement is contagious during every assembly and I am introducing myself to people that have been attending for years. Shaking things up was the right formula for us to get to know each other. I start teaching the “Young Families” class this week. I am calling my class “Well done good and faithful servant”. It will focus around living a life that our loved ones can celebrate when we are gone from this earth. I am not one to read obituaries but we will be doing so during one of the lessons. What people say about us when we die is not up to chance. We are writing what they will say every day of our lives. By being intentional with our lives, we insure that the things they say will be worthwhile and will bring joy to those we leave behind. If I can instill this in one family, I will count the time as a success.
I attended a class 17 years ago and was charged with writing my own obituary. We were to project ourselves years in the future and write the obit as if we had lived the life we were writing about. I pulled mine out last year and I had already fulfilled each of the items written about. I am holding out on writing another for one of the lessons for this class.
On a final note, I solicit as many prayers as can be lifted up on behalf of my step-dad. Elbie is in much pain and has very limited mobility due to issues with his back. He needs surgery but the surgeon has been very evasive about scheduling it. He is very “busy”. Elbie fell last Sunday and went to the hospital only to be released Wednesday. A simple prayer such as “God, please heal Elbie” would be appreciated.
