  • As requested by my brother over in Iraq, here is our decorated Christmas Tree.  No presents under it yet but most have been purchased.

And just for fun, I took some pictures of the lights in the yard.

We went to the High School Choir Christmas concert
tonight.  Over an hour and a half of awesome music.  I only had to
ask one couple to stop talking during the concert.  I have gotten much
better at this over time.  The better half cringes each time I do it.
I can remember a concert around 6 years ago in the same auditorium where I got
up and walked down front to sit next to a couple of teenagers that insisted on
talking while the choir sang.  They did not move and sat quietly through
the rest of the concert.  I was commended by many parents when the concert
was over because the kids were disrupting the entire event.

It occurred to me that I need to write or find some text on the proper etiquette
for attending concerts and such.  People think it is ok to talk as long as
you whisper.  There is nothing more irritating than whisssss whissss
whissss whissss!!whisssss whissss!!!! other than a cell phone going off.
I can even stand babies talking but grown people must be told that it is RUDE
to talk during a concert that their children have worked so hard on.  I am
going to either write this or find it and post it on our Choir website.

Enough ranting for now.  I did make myself focus on the singing and block
out the whissss that was coming from a few rows over.

  • Wow Bubba thats awesome – Bet the girls would love to see it – Hey would yall wrap the flags and shirts and get them to my girls? The shirts are obvious who’s is who’s by size and the flags have certificates in them – That will be their christmas plus I got them some cool little stuffed camels -Maggie needs to know how to send me pictures also - I got a easy share Kodak cx7530 -5 mega pixel- If there is a way I would like the stand and printer with paper and all I would need to process pictures – It can’t cost too much -The camera plugs into the top of the small printer- Also a swimsuit callender ,regular callendar, and butter popcorn – Other than that I have all I need – The camera is fast and takes movies with sound – 250 plus 100 for a 1 gig memory disc – You and Jay did a very nice job on the yard and hope yall have all you wish for – Including the soft tail — LOVE

  • hey Spongebobdad, nice tree.  It is pretty!

what is your brothers fettish?  you can tell meeeeeee!!!

oh, and don’t send him that calender…there is a better one on the way all ready…from, me and my sis!! although he would probably like the swimsuit one better!!!   hmmmmmm, is that it?  his fettish is swimsuits?  or is it tatoos or noserings?

  • You can read a book in your yard. Awesome.

And yeah, some people are going to be dumb and selfish and do that, but overall, it’s best to try and focus on the concert unless they’re doing something like those teenagers were. I’m glad you enjoyed the concert, sir.

    God bless,
    -Alex

  • There should just be an announcment before the concert. Now-a-days, I think it should be said that whss whss can be heard. If they are going to be at the concert than…duh, listen to the music. I know you, and I know that you can do something about it. haha, I actually remember when you sat next to those kids!

  • Christmas is so much fun.  I appreciate your excitement. Merry Christmas…….oel

  • Too funny! Hey, now I don’t even have to drive by your house to see the yard! We probably will anyway!

  • RYC:  Obviously your driveway makes it all the way to the garage.  LOL  Yep, that would be them.  I see I may just have to say my job or something so others don’t figure it out. Wouldn’t want them to be mad at me.

Seems the concerts, plays, and movies get worse all the time.  I think it has something to do with the fact that they can talk through it at home so why not at the event.  Many do not realize how rude it is.  I bet if you accessed Dear Abby or Dear Prudence you would find the etiquette rules.

  • Pudgy women?? – Never again – Gotta have em thin and pretty from now on – That way it will be a snap riding them around on the bike and camping in 2 men tents – Nobody knows what turns me on and she is going to play heck – No clevage or sex involved either – Just something white somewhere — John
